Heardphone jacks question - A78 Mk II (+)

Hi, all.
Somehow when I plug my Sennheiser HD580 headphones into the HEADPHONE jack (either) of my A78 Mk II, the main speakers do not turn off.

Unfortunately, I do not have a manual, so I do not know whether it is supposed to be that way or my machine is faulty.

There is no automatic switch-off at the A78 when connecting the phones. Swing back the revox flap (silver) at the front panel. There you'll find the speaker A and B on/off switches. Press the correct one - speakers are off.
