These signals will show the optical readout of the photodiode array. In particular it will show how the laser beam runs across the CD track and when and how it starts loosing track. With these signals as a primary or "reference" input of the servo loop it will be possible to follow up the response throughout the entire servo 2 system until the error is found. With the scope you can also verify the operation of the 650Hz tracking modulation and tracking error correction loop. You see, I'm a strong believer in scopes and other valuable instruments .
