Hello everybody, I don't speak German. Does anybody can help me and tell me which kind of speakers have I to buy for my BX350 (both high and middle-bass).

Hi Luca,

I may be wrong but the BX350 tweeter looks very much an Audax HD12X9 D25 http://www.falconacoustics.co.uk/aud...9-tweeter.html

Finding them original is quite impossible - revox doesn't stock them any more and information about an exact replacement (mid-bas 16 ohm 400 Hz, i believe) are nowhere to be found.

What exactly is the problem?
If your's are faulty, you should consider having them rebuilt. You might try here. They did an excellent job for a forum member - mid-bas coil problems.

If the foam surroundings are crumbly, you might buy a DIY kit und do it yourself - but properly, removing the dust cap and centering the coil with shims.

I know that Revox does not stock the same tweeter.

I wonder if you can suggest a correct replacement.

sorry, i wish i could, but i don't have the slightest clue.

You should try contacting the user Detsi Bell via private message as he is not present on a day to day basis.

He was more then generous offering his help regarding the revox tweeters (especially the titan ones)...being personaly involved in planning of them.

A also read that the Tweeters for Revoy Symbol mk?? might have been made by MB QUART. If the BX310 tweeters are amongs them, i don't know, but looking into their archive can't hurt.

Hi Luca!

I will try to help you with all information that I have, but unfortunately, I was not concerned with Revox stuff before the latin named speaker series (Forum, Plenum, Atrium a.s.o.)

As far as i know, at the time Revox did use only german manufactured drivers in their loudspeakers plus the popular Philips tweeter. I guess that WHD or another south-german OEM built them.

25mm-textile tweeters of this kind are to some degree generic, the responses are similar. Sensibilty and resonance frequency are not! Do you have a good unit? This could be very helpful to determine the needed parameters.

The grills look very similar to the CL300 and CL400 series from Dual. If you do a picture search on the net for "Dual CL390" you will probably see what i mean.

Dual also used the same type of tweeter (not the same make), they are frequently offered on ebay. But it seems, they have larger frontplates.

I just wanted to know, wether you have a working tweeter or not. A functional sample would help to determine the parameters and response curve. Even a defective device could be partially used for this.

Hi Detsy, unfortunately I don't have a working tweeter. There were both substituted by the former owner.
I don't know where I can find the specs of the original unit.
I wrote to Revox service and they told me the the replacement for the original one is p/n 108520199. Do you know this p/n and its specs?

Sorry Luca, but I have no cross referencere for revox part numbers. They were never known to me. A quick google search found only an eshop, which is no longer existent.

There were both substituted by the former owner.

So you don't have any original parts? And what about the original part number, is it known?
