B 285 with DAB+ module

I was just wondering if it is posible to create and ofcourse build a DAB+ module and use it instead of AM. Most models don't have the AM module, so I thought mabye we can use the space and create a DAB or DAB+.
Anyone an Idea?

Revox is poisonous. Once you listen to it, Everything else become abnormal sounding.

One "problem" with the B286/286 is that the entire AM audio section is mono.
There is only one audio signal line on the interconnect board and only one audio pin on the connectors. So, to make AM another source needs a bit of additional wiring added.

Then the frequency display for the AM tuner would not make sense, but you could program in station names regardless of the frequency. You would need - probably an embedded micro - to interpret the digital data sent to the AM frequency synthesiser, and somehow translate this data to control your DAB tuner.

ANYTHING is possible if you have the time to work it out :-)
